Bootlegger 21 is not your ordinary vodka. When you bring Bootlegger 21 Vodka to your nose, you’ll sense no smell. When you take a sip it will surprise you with its soft mouthfeel and clean finish.
Have you ever touched your vodka? Did you know that the best way to “taste” a vodka is by touching it? Most vodkas feel oily to the touch, but as they dry become sticky due to additives like glycerol and sugar. Not ours. We’ve taken the time to do it right, without the shortcuts.
Bootlegger 21 New York Vodka is made from 100% Corn, which is slowly filtered through a proprietary charcoal filtration process then blended with the purist Catskill Mountain water to achieve our silky-smooth finish. We’ve taken vodka to a higher level and the vodka aficionados are taking notice, and awarding medals. What else would you expect from a spirit born in the Catskill Mountains?

After winning praise and accolades in the spirits world we managed to win over editors at the famous New York travel magazine, Travel+Leisure when they named us one of seven best craft distilled vodkas in the world! We were pleasantly surprised to say the least.

It's just another part of being a super-premium vodka, smooth enough to be sipped, yet pure enough to be mixed perfectly into any classic cocktail. All while being complex enough to be awarded the gold medals at the 2010 New York International Spirits Competition and an “Exceptional 90-95 Rating” from the esteemed Beverage Testing Institute.

They must have noticed our hard work, ingenuity, tireless effort and unquestionable character, and of course our belief that we could create a great new American spirit, Bootlegger 21 New York Vodka. We hope you'll enjoy our special spirit as much as everyone else who's tried it, just like those editors at Time Inc. Cheers Travel+Leisure.

"This boutique brand from the Catskills wins more awards than Meryl Streep and with good reason. Smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy."

                 –Food & Wine

"If ever a vodka captured, distilled and bottled the true spirit of New York State, its Bootlegger 21...Prohibition Distillery uses local corn to make an 18th Amendment shattering product that not only wins awards (Gold medals at the 2010 New York International Spirits Competition) but proves they are in this for the long haul."

                 –Lincoln Chinnery,

                   The Alcohol Professor

"When you sip it, it’s super plush and mouth-filling. If a vodka can be called full-bodied, then this is certainly of that ilk...The sweetness from the aroma is captured on your tongue, too, making it lovely to sip all on its own, a few ice cubes tossed in for some spirited chilly dilution."

                 –Amy Zavatto,

                    edibles, New York City

"When Bootlegger 21 is warm, you can't smell the alcohol. And when it is on the rocks, the ice seemingly changes its flavor, making it sweeter and cutting the back end bite. It is actually the first vodka that I have ever wanted to sip straight."

                 –Monica Racic,

"Brian Facquet has single handedly revitalized the small Catskills town of Roscoe with their Prohibition Distillery, drawing northeastern spirits travelers with a highly regarded 100%-corn vodka. The rest of the country is taking notice of the gluten-free, kosher blend too—13 states now distribute it—and the sweet floral notes and whiskeylike qualities are even turning the bourbon crowd into fans."
