Yes, we make bourbon in New York. We call ours Bootlegger 21 New York Bourbon. Our bourbon is uniquely made from a mash of 2,000 pounds of 100% New York corn, which is then distilled in small batches using our artisan pot stills. Most distillers use large 53-gallon oak barrels, we’ve chosen to use small newly charred white oak barrels for our spirits. Our distiller believes that only time makes for great bourbon, which is why we do not rush to harvest our barrels. We want our whiskey to maintain its rich mouthfeel and all of its flavor, which is why we do not chill filter our spirits.
We then blend in the purest Catskills Mountain water and bottle at 92 proof (46% abv). When you taste our bourbon, flavors of cinnamon, caramel, vanilla, and dark chocolate will pleasantly linger on the palate.
